Okie Family Market Mural

I had the pleasure of painting a homestead-inspired farm mural for the owners of Okie Family Market, a locally sourced grocery store that opened in 2023. As an Oklahoma mural artist, I loved creating a piece that reflected the heart of this family-owned store. With a couple of kids of their own, the owners wanted the back room of the store to feel welcoming for children—so parents could shop with peace of mind while their kids had fun. This is truly a family-focused space, designed to serve families just like theirs with convenience and care in mind.

With every client, I ask what their “must-haves” are. We talked through the elements and style they wanted to include, and I got to work on the digital mockup. Initially, the plan was to leave the door unpainted, but once they saw the design, they loved it so much they asked if we could extend the mural to cover the door as well. Including the door made the wall feel more complete, and the kids absolutely loved it! My favorite details are the playful lambs and the horses — what’s your favorite part?
